Activision has officially announced that Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will be shutting down permanently, with servers scheduled to go offline on April 17, 2026.
Until that date, players will still be able to access the game and play existing content. However, once the servers go offline, Warzone Mobile will no longer be playable in any capacity.
Why Warzone Mobile Is Being Shut Down
According to Activision, while the team was proud to bring an authentic Warzone experience to mobile devices, the game did not meet expectations with mobile-first players, despite stronger reception from PC and console audiences.
This decision follows previously announced service changes made before the game was removed from app stores in May 2025, which included:
- An end to new seasonal content and gameplay updates
- Removal of social features
- Discontinuation of real-money in-app purchases
After evaluating the game’s long-term performance, Activision has now confirmed the final step: taking the game completely offline.
What This Means for Players
- Servers shut down: April 17, 2026
- Playable until shutdown: Yes, with existing content only
- New content & purchases: Already discontinued
- Game availability: Removed from stores since May 2025
Players are encouraged to enjoy the game while servers remain live, as no offline mode will be available after shutdown.
The Future of Call of Duty on Mobile
Activision emphasized that player feedback and passion continue to shape the franchise, with ongoing support now focused on Call of Duty: Mobile, which will continue to receive meaningful seasonal updates and content.
